Authorized Jackrabbit personnel and persons reasonably involved in evaluating a submission may have access to submission information.
Screener links and passwords may be stored with the corresponding acquisition record so that authorized personnel can evaluate the submitted film.
We may maintain historical records concerning films previously submitted to us, including declined, withdrawn, inactive, acquired, or otherwise completed submissions, where reasonably necessary for business records, duplicate-submission prevention, legal compliance, dispute prevention or resolution, security, or other legitimate business purposes.
Submitting a film does not automatically subscribe you to Jackrabbit marketing communications. Marketing consent, when requested, is collected separately.
4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We and service providers that support our Services may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, maintain security, understand website usage, diagnose technical problems, measure performance, and improve our Services.
Some third-party technologies may collect information about your interactions with our Services over time or across websites or online services, depending upon the technologies used and your browser or device settings.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through privacy controls provided on our Services.
Disabling certain cookies or technologies may affect the functionality of portions of the Services.

6. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
Service Providers
We may disclose information to vendors, contractors, consultants, hosting providers, technology providers, email providers, analytics providers, and other service providers that perform services for or on behalf of Jackrabbit.
Jackrabbit Personnel and Representatives
Information may be disclosed to Jackrabbit's members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, consultants, professional advisors, sales personnel, acquisition personnel, and representatives where reasonably necessary for business purposes.
Film Evaluation
Information associated with a film submission may be made available to persons reasonably involved in evaluating the film for possible acquisition, distribution, licensing, international sales representation, production, financing, or another potential business relationship.
Legal and Compliance Purposes
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:
- Comply with applicable law or legal process;
- Respond to a subpoena, court order, governmental request, or other lawful demand;
- Protect Jackrabbit's rights, property, or interests;
- Protect the rights, property, safety, or security of others;
- Investigate fraud, security incidents, or suspected unlawful activity;
- Enforce our agreements or policies; or

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, asset purchase agreement, investment, change of control, bankruptcy, or other business transaction involving all or part of Jackrabbit or its assets.
Information and records relating to film submissions may constitute business records or assets transferred as part of such a transaction.
With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information for another purpose when you direct us to do so, consent to the disclosure, or when the purpose is otherwise disclosed to you at the time information is collected.
7. SALE OR SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Jackrabbit does not operate its Services for the purpose of selling personal information as a data broker.
Certain website analytics, advertising, social-media, or similar technologies, if used, may constitute “sharing,” “selling,” targeted advertising, or another regulated disclosure under some privacy laws even where Jackrabbit does not receive money in exchange for personal information.
Where applicable law provides a right to opt out of such activity, Jackrabbit will provide or honor legally required methods for exercising that right.
8. NEWSLETTERS AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
You may choose to receive newsletters, market announcements, release information, acquisition updates, and other communications from Jackrabbit.
Where we request marketing consent in connection with a film submission, that consent is separate from acceptance of the Film Submission Agreement and is not required to submit a film.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the communication or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from sending non-marketing communications concerning a film submission, existing business relationship, transaction, agreement, rights matter, or other operational matter.
We may maintain records necessary to honor and document unsubscribe requests and marketing preferences.
9. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate business, operational, administrative, security, legal, accounting, recordkeeping, and dispute-resolution purposes.
The applicable retention period may depend upon the nature of the information and our relationship with you.
For example, we may retain historical records concerning film submissions after a film has been declined, withdrawn, acquired, or otherwise removed from active consideration in order to maintain submission history, prevent duplicate submissions, document agreements and consent, resolve disputes, protect legal rights, or maintain customary business records.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or otherwise dispose of it, subject to applicable law and our legitimate recordkeeping requirements.
10. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to our operations and the nature of the information we maintain.
Access to nonpublic information is intended to be limited to persons who reasonably require access for business purposes.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet, electronic communication, or electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the absolute security of information.
You should not send Social Security numbers, financial account information, government identification numbers, medical information, or other highly sensitive personal information through our website or acquisition submission portal unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.
11. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
Depending on where you live and the laws applicable to Jackrabbit's processing of your information, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the right to:
- Request information about personal information collected about you;
- Request access to certain personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of certain personal information;
- Obtain information regarding categories of personal information collected, used, or disclosed;
- Opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or similar processing where applicable;
- Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent; and
- Exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.
These rights are subject to applicable law, exceptions, verification requirements, and whether the particular law applies to Jackrabbit or the relevant processing activity.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the information in Section 19 below.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling certain requests. We may retain information reasonably necessary to document and respond to privacy requests.
12. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
California residents may have additional rights under California privacy laws.
Depending upon the law applicable to Jackrabbit and the circumstances, those rights may include rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information and rights relating to certain sales or sharing of personal information and use or disclosure of sensitive personal information.
California residents may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Where Jackrabbit is legally required to recognize an opt-out preference signal, such as a qualifying Global Privacy Control signal, we will process that signal as required by applicable law.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights available under applicable California law.
13. CALIFORNIA DO NOT TRACK DISCLOSURE
Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal.
Because there is not a universally accepted standard governing how websites should respond to traditional DNT signals, our Services may not respond to all DNT signals.
A DNT signal is distinct from legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, that may be required to be honored under applicable privacy law.
Third parties providing analytics, embedded content, or other functionality may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services, depending on the services and technologies used.
14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are intended for a general business and entertainment-industry audience and are not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through our Services.
Our film acquisition submission portal is available only to persons who are at least 18 years old.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where collection is prohibited by applicable law, we may take reasonable steps to delete the information.
15. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
Jackrabbit is based in the United States.
If you access our Services or submit information from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from those in your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate mechanisms or take other measures concerning international transfers of personal information.
16. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, streaming services, social-media services, video services, or other online resources.
Jackrabbit does not control the privacy practices of third parties.
Your interaction with a third-party website or service is governed by that third party's terms and privacy practices. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.
17. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, technology, legal requirements, or other circumstances.
When we update the Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
Where required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice regarding material changes.
The version of the Privacy Policy associated with a particular film submission may be recorded as part of that submission's electronic acceptance record.
18. ACCESSIBILITY
If you have difficulty accessing this Privacy Policy or information concerning your privacy rights because of a disability, please contact us and we will endeavor to provide the information in an accessible alternative format.
